Selofluna Design Firm

The mission of this project was to create an interior design firm that could potentially represent our own company. Concept Statement: Many are drawn to California due to its weather, the scenery, and its proximity to the ocean. The design of Selofluna Designs has been heavily influenced by these factors. The beaches of California are a huge tourist attraction. The influence of sand can be seen in the color palette of many of the interior and exterior materials included. The round cut out in the middle of the building mimics the ways in which a hurricane forms. While California is not known for its hurricanes, it does harbor the sea, and the power of the sea has been a huge driving factor in the overall design. This cut out includes an outdoor work area, allowing employees to have access to fresh air. There are also many opportunities outside the building for employees to continue their work, as can be seen in the front and side of the building. The deep blue of the sea has also been reflected in the walls of the design. The ample greenery of California has heavily influenced the exterior of the design, as well as the interior as seen in the abundant use of wood materials.
