Reception: The reception area is the first space employees and potential clients see when they enter on the 7th floor. It includes acoustic panels on the columns, a small seating area to wait in, a reception desk, and a glowing strawberry wall. On the ceiling are led strip lights for wayfinding, wood paneling, and a large drop-down strawberry. The immediate introduction of the strawberry helps to set the tone for the entire space. The use of yellow, pink, and green set the mood of an upbeat, bright, and welcoming space, all important in a reception area.

Beauty Bar: The wildcard space located on the 8th floor is meant to work as a beauty bar for clients or employees. It is well stocked with products and tester products to be used. It is placed directly under the skylight to allow for maximum natural light which is important in cosmetic application. There are large mirrors with led’s around them to include some artificial lighting in the space in the case of a cloudier day. This wildcard space also makes use of a fun green mosaic backsplash and greenery with flowers, which can be great surroundings for mirror selfies to show off products and promote the company.

Monumental Staircase: With the NEXT office space being two floors, this provides the opportunity for volumetric creativity and connectivity within the project. The stairs are meant to mimic an ‘S’ shape. They have flower vines flowing down since the John Lennon Strawberry Fields monument is often seen decorated with flowers. There is seating at the base of the stairs for people just coming in from the reception or for workers to use as a rejuvenation or social space.

Work Cafe: On the ceiling of the cafe we see a continuation of the led lighting for wayfinding, dropdown acoustical panels that are intended to mimic leaves, Glo Ball pendants to mimic seeds as well as recessed cans for general lighting if needed, and wood paneling to help separate the space from other areas. There is a variety of seating options so employees can have an array of options. There are acoustical panels on the columns to help with the sound in this area. The cafe also includes a strawberry wall to help carry the concept throughout. Included along the wall are cabinetry, microwaves, and refrigerators for employees to store and heat up their food.

Open Offices and Small Meeting Rooms: The open work area includes individual height-adjustable desks connected by panels that allow electrical to be ran through them. They also include privacy tents. Storage is provided at the end or beginning of every group of workstations. There are small meeting rooms to the left to allow for convenience between moving from individual work to group work. This space makes use of wood paneling and dropdown acoustical ceilings that mimic the shape of leaves to tie in with the strawberry theme. These areas are placed by the windows to allow natural light to flow into the spaces and increase productivity.

Retail Mock-Up: On the ceiling of the retail mockup area are acoustic panels to help with sound and an led strip light. This area makes use of the strawberry glow wall as a focal point. There are mirrors with lights around them and seats for clients or employees to test products. This space includes ample storage, whiteboards, and work tables. It also includes an array of potential beauty products that are displayed in a retail fashion to help with imagining what could be in terms of product production.

Large Meeting Room: The large meeting room makes use of purple acoustic panels that span out for an interesting ceiling feature and sound control. It makes use of Glo Ball pendants to mimic seeds as well as recessed cans for general lighting if needed. There are two seating options to choose from so employees and potential clients can have options for different postures. This room includes a monitor to allow presentations to take place. It is also placed along a window to allow in natural light and to hopefully eliminate the need for harsh artificial lighting. The main table seats 8 and the additional couches can seat up to 4 people

Small Meeting Area: These small meeting rooms located on the 8th floor allow for a more open way of meeting. It includes sliding panels that allow for visual privacy, flexible space division, and sound absorption. The sliding track creates movable room dividers to quickly transform public spaces into private collaborative work zones. These rooms include monitors for video calls and content sharing. It also includes whiteboards and pin up space to help share ideas with other collaborators.

Instagrammable Moment: This is the opening to the retail mock-up area. It serves as a photo op in the event beauty influencers are invited to visit, or if clients want to geotag ‘NEXT imagine’ in a social media post. With how much technology and social media are developing, it is important to start including “Instagrammable” moments into designs that can ultimately help with marketing and sales. In the background of the strawberry cut-out is the strawberry glow wall we saw in the reception. It serves as an additional interesting back feature for photos taken in front of the strawberry. There are also seats with mirrors that have led lights to mimic a beauty room.
